On Bank Holiday Monday 2nd May 2016 we held a Family Fun Day when there was be a bouncy castle, face painting, a barbecue, games and a quiz etc. We had a wonderful sunny day and record numbers of people! We hope to hold another one on May bank holiday 2017.

Once again our Yearly Holiday Club was held in the school summer holidays. In 2012 the theme had an Olympic flavour and it was an exciting few days of activities and games with a Christian message for children aged 5 To 12 It was entitled ‘On Your Marks!’ It was very well attended and all the children enjoyed themselves.

In 2013 the theme was ‘Space Academy’ and it was again held in August. Again a good time was had by the children.

In 2014 the theme was ‘Pyramid Rock’ and was based on the story of Joseph in the Bible (the one with the ‘Technicolor Dreamcoat’!). This also went very well and the children learned a lot and had lots of fun.

In 2015 the theme was ‘Jungle Jamboree’

We expect to hold another one this August (2016) and this time the theme is ‘Polar Explorers’; we hope to build a giant igloo from plastic milk bottles! The dates will be Tuesday 30th August until Friday 2nd September.

We normally hold our annual Bible Exhibition for 2 weeks in October. A number of local schools bring groups of children along to learn more about the early Christian church from the displays. We hope to hold another one in October 2016.

Our last Church Weekend Away to Willersley Castle in Derbyshire took place on the weekend of 7th to 9th November 2014 when we got to know each other a bit better and enjoyed some Bible teaching. This is a bi-annual event and the next one is planned for 11th to 13th November 2016

A number of the church members go to an annual event held around Easter time called Spring Harvest when thousands of Christians take over the Butlins sites at Skegness and Minehead. To find out more click here.

Ladies Night will be holding several events this year - details to follow.
