At the start of the week on a Sunday morning we meet together to worship God and
remember the sacrifice of God’s Son, Jesus, whose death and resurrection is the basis
of our faith. We believe that Jesus instituted the communion service as an effective
reminder of this sacrifice.
Following our communion service we hold our weekly Connectfamily service which tries
to provide something for everyone of any age. We start with an introduction which
will involve singing and maybe a quiz or other activity after which the children
go to their separate groups and the adults are given a bible based talk about some
aspect of the Christian life or becoming a Christian.
Ladies Night (formerly Homemakers) generally meets a Monday about four times a year
and has a varied programme of crafts, talks on issues relevant to women and from
time to time have an outing to a place of interest or a meal together.
On Tuesday evenings we have two activities for the children aged 5 To 12. Firstly
is Xtra when the children enjoy games, songs, Bible stories and quizzes to help them
learn more about God.
This is followed by the Homework Club where local children are given help with their
school work by church members, some of whom are, or have been, teachers.
Bible Study and Prayer:
Later on Tuesday evenings we have two groups meeting at the church where we study
the Bible and pray for the church, its members and wider issues affecting the local
area, the country and the world. We enjoy sharing our faith together and how it affects
our daily lives. On the third Tuesday of each month we all meet together in the church
building for a joint prayer meeting when we often focus on the needs of missionaries.
Also on Thursday nights a small group meets in someone’s home for Bible study and
There is a group of church members who constitute our visitation team. They call
at houses round about and offer a Christian newspaper and invitation for people to
come to church and are happy to talk about their faith to anyone who would like to
